Janne and Maria, the husband-and-wife duo behind House of Wizards, have long been drawn to the magic of hospitality. “Welcome to the House of Wizards! We are Janne and Maria, a husband-and-wife team with a deep passion for hospitality and creating unforgettable experiences,” they begin.
Their Cambodia journey first began on the island of Koh Rong, where they operate two distinctive resorts. “Our journey in Cambodia began on the stunning island of Koh Rong, where we operate two unique resorts: Secret Garden, a serene retreat offering tranquility and natural beauty, and BeachWalk Koh Rong, a vibrant destination combining modern comfort with beachfront charm.”
Now, they’ve brought that same energy to Phnom Penh. “With the House of Wizards, we’ve brought that same passion for hospitality and innovation to Phnom Penh. This fine dining and lifestyle destination was born from our desire to offer something truly magical—a space where exquisite cuisine, imaginative cocktails, and a captivating atmosphere come together to create an experience unlike any other.”
From Vision to Reality
“The House of Wizards is a passion project aimed at creating an immersive dining and lifestyle experience,” they explain. “The original idea was to build a place where gastronomy meets imagination—an environment where every guest feels like they’ve stepped into a magical world. Our goal was to blend fine dining with storytelling, offering an atmosphere that excites all the senses.”
They officially launched with a soft opening in September 2024, but the vision goes well beyond the restaurant’s walls. “The dream is to establish House of Wizards as not just a restaurant but a destination—a place where locals and visitors come for extraordinary culinary adventures and an escape into a magical world. The timing feels perfect. Phnom Penh is rapidly evolving, with a growing demand for unique, high-quality experiences.”

As for the food? “Our menu combines traditional flavors with modern techniques, ensuring an exciting yet comforting dining experience. The magical touches, both in ambiance and service, make every visit special.”
