Where to watch football in Phnom Penh – 5 of the best

Football is by far the most popular sport in Cambodia both from a participation and watching point of view. Where though is the best place to watch the beautiful game in Phnom Penh?

The good news here is that pretty much every bar worth its salt has a TV system set up to play all the major football games, as well as other sports such as ARL, Rugby League, Rugby Union and even cricket for the truly perverse out there.

Much like anything else though, when it comes to watching football in Phnom Penh, not all bars are created equal.

How to pick a pace to watch football in Phnom Penh

There are a few factors to consider when watching football in Phnom Penh, such as how many screens there are, how busy the bar is and whether you want to be watching it with other fans. Some bars such as Sundance for example will happily put on a match for you, but there might be live music in the background, as well most punters not really caring too much for the match.

And then there are other “sports bars” that cater more for an Australian, or North American market, this makes them great for certain sports, but not necessarily football/soccer.

Therefore when picking your place, make sure it is a proper football bar.
