Don’t know what to do in Phnom Penh? Pick between their multiples activities, from feeling the thrill of hitting the bullseye in archery, unleashing your inner lumberjack with axe throwing, or testing your skills on our unique foot pool table, there’s no shortage of fun!

You can also challenge your friends to a game of pool with a refreshing drink from our fully stocked bar, or choose from the over 100 board games to play in their spacious multi-floor building over lunch.

We sat down with the Playroom and asked them what the idea is behind the fun and games.

“Our entertainment business was founded with the idea of providing a unique and engaging experience for people seeking fun and memorable activities for any age, which we found was lacking in the capital city.”

“The original concept was to combine the thrill of archery and axe throwing with the social enjoyment of other exciting games as well pool, football and board games, creating a diverse entertainment hub for various interests and age groups.”

They added that at The Playroom, they believe in creating more than just an entertainment center – but crafting an experience, a place where every moment is infused with joy, laughter, and excitement.

The Playroom has been operational since January 2021, and one of the pleasant surprises has been the enthusiastic response to the games, reflecting a growing interest in social and intellectually stimulating activities.

Highlights so far include the positive reception from customers and witnessing the community forming around the shared enjoyment of games and activities. Looking ahead, plans for the future may involve expanding the venue, and regularly changing games in order to bring more excitement to the city of Phnom Penh.

“The most rewarding aspect of our business is witnessing the joy and camaraderie shared among our clients as they spend quality time with their loved ones. By organising tournaments and events, we have also managed to create a small community whether it be playing chess, khmer chess, pool, board games or archery,” said the Playroom.

“Seeing families and friends come together to come have fun and create lasting memories is truly gratifying. Our dedication to providing a fun and inclusive environment underscores our commitment to fostering genuine connections and meaningful experiences.”

Indeed, their entertainment business fills a crucial gap for individuals and groups seeking alternative ways to spend quality time with their loved ones in the capital.

“We set out to offer as diverse a range of activities as possible that provide a unique blend of physical activity and social engagement.”

With options like archery, axe throwing, foot pool, and an extensive selection of board games, they certainly cater to various interests and preferences, ensuring there’s something enjoyable for everyone

They ended by saying that they hope to be a leading example in diversifying the leisure landscape in Cambodia, providing locals, expats and tourists with more choices for how they spend their free time.

“One of the most rewarding aspects is seeing the joy and enthusiasm of our customers as they engage in our activities.”

“Cambodians are known for their warmth, friendliness, and love for fun, and we’re delighted to be part of that. We’re not just providing entertainment; we’re fostering a sense of belonging and creating shared moments that enhance the best things about Cambodia.
