Pailin Province Guide

About Pailin

Pailin’s story is as rich and diverse as the gemstones that once adorned its landscapes. Once part of the mighty Khmer Empire, the province fell under the sway of various powers throughout history, from the Burmese to the Siamese (Thai). It wasn’t until 1907 that Pailin was formally returned to Cambodian sovereignty.
