Step in DropSweatCoaching, a new personal training service that is swiftly gaining traction in the realm of fitness coaching. We sat down with the passionate coach and founder, Ashley Galler, to exercise her mind on her fitness journey.

Tailored Training for Lasting Results

“DropSweatCoaching is catered to individuals, particularly those over 30, who aspire to enhance their physical strength, cardiovascular health, and overall well-being,” she said.

“We offer tailored personal training services to private clients, for those who want to improve physical strength by building muscle, reduce the risk of injury and improve cardiovascular health through exercise and weight loss.”

With international certifications in strength and conditioning and corrective exercise, Galler ensures that her clients receive personalized attention and monitoring during their fitness journey.

She emphasizes the importance of gradual and sustainable changes, steering away from quick fixes and instead focusing on empowering her clients to embrace fitness as a lifelong commitment.

A Supportive Approach to Fitness

Galler’s journey is deeply rooted in her own struggles with disordered eating, weight gain, and recovering from injuries. These challenges have bestowed upon her a unique insight into coaching, allowing her to approach her clients with empathy and understanding.

“I believe my own past struggles with disordered eating, weight gain, recovering from injuries and overcoming these challenges gives me unique insight into coaching,” she shares. “I sympathize with the reasons why my clients might contact me for help, so I provide a supportive approach to coaching without judgment or pressure.”

Beyond the Gym: Building Community

As DropSweatCoaching embarks on its inaugural year, Galler envisions a future filled with not just physical transformation but also community-building and social engagement. She plans to introduce free or low-cost social activities that encourage people to remain active outside the gym, fostering friendships and camaraderie among members.

“Ideally, I will be in the position to offer free/low-cost social activities that encourage people to be active outside of the gym and to build friendships between expats and locals that share a passion for fitness,” she explains. “Such as weekend boot camps, or cycling trips for members.”

Empowering Cambodian Women Through Strength Training

One of Galler’s heartfelt aspirations is to see more Cambodian women embrace strength training and defy societal expectations. She believes that strength training is not only vital for physical health but also serves as a means of empowerment, especially for women.

“I would love to see more Cambodian women showing an interest in strength training and more personal trainers here that encourage women to lift heavy weights!” she exclaims. “Strength training and muscle development is incredibly important for everyone but women are especially vulnerable to injury because we are often discouraged from being physically strong.”

In a fitness landscape often dominated by mainstream trends, DropSweatCoaching stands out as a beacon of personalized care, empowerment, and community. Under the guidance of Ashley Galler, individuals in Phnom Penh are not just transforming their bodies; they are embracing a holistic approach to wellness that nurtures their mind, body, and spirit.
