Cambodian Craft Beer Crown 2025: Phnom Penh’s Big Day Out for Beer Lovers

The Cambodian Craft Beer Crown is back on Saturday, August 16, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most fun and flavour-filled events of the year. Hosted at Botanico Craft Beer Garden by the Cambodian Craft Beer Association (CBAC), this all-day event brings together 12 of the country’s top independent breweries for a celebration of local craft, music, food, and community.

If you’ve been following Cambodia’s growing craft beer scene, this is your chance to taste the best of it in one place. And with unlimited tastings included in the ticket, you’ll be able to explore a full spectrum of styles from creative brewers around the country.

A Phnom Penh Hotspot

Botanico’s garden setting makes it an ideal spot to relax, and its central location just around the corner from Independence Monument, Bassac Lane, and the Royal Palace means it’s easy to drop in whether you’re exploring the city or live nearby. Expect a lively mix of locals, expats, brewers, and beer fans from all over.

“This is more than a beer competition,” says Marco Günther, organiser and CBAC board member. “It’s about bringing people together around quality beer, local craftsmanship, and a shared love of good times.”

What’s happening on the day:

  • Unlimited tastings with your own take-home glass
  • Beer from 12 independent breweries
  • Live music from DJ Wah-Wah and The Broken Cymbal
  • People’s Choice Award and official judging by international experts
  • German Ambassador Stefan Messerer will hand over the crown
  • Food specials designed to pair with the beer
  • A relaxed, social garden party atmosphere
