BritCham International Football Cup Ready to Kick Off in Phnom Penh
This weekend, the British Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (BritCham) will host the BritCham International Football Cup – a signature sporting event bringing together the expat and business communities for a day of competition, camaraderie, and celebration.
A Celebration of Sport and Community
The tournament will see eight international teams, each made up of 12 players, competing in a 6-a-side knockout format at Aquation Office Park on Koh Pich. The games will be played on their top-class football facilities, with the awards ceremony taking place around the swimming pool at their premium DIB Club venue, just steps away from the pitches.
Spectators are welcome free of charge, with plenty of food and drink options available at Aquation, plus cold beers and a free refill water station by the pitches. Food is also available all day at DIB Club.
Tom Starkey, Events Manager for BritCham, explained the vision behind the event:
“Everyone knows business doesn’t just happen in the boardroom – it happens on the golf courses and football fields too. Since joining BritCham, I’ve wanted to diversify our events beyond traditional networking. Sport is one of the ways we’re leading the way for chambers in Cambodia, and this signature event celebrates not only the UK’s national sport of football but also brings together over 80 players from across the world who live and work in Cambodia for some friendly competition.”
