Inaugural Wimbledon Family Day launched by BritCham July 13th

The British Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (BritCham Cambodia), in collaboration with event partner Lotus Cars EMC Group, is proud to launch its first major signature event under a newly expanded team. Wimbledon Family Day will take place on Sunday, July 13 at Sun & Moon Riverside in Phnom Penh.

Bringing together the spirit of Wimbledon, British community values, and family entertainment, this unique event blends tradition and fun in a stunning riverside setting. Guests can enjoy a relaxed day of socialising, food, a screening of the Wimbledon Women’s Final, games for the kids, cake and more. Activities have been designed for both adults and children to enjoy throughout the day.

A Fresh Era for BritCham Events

This is the first major event since the appointment of Tom Starkey as BritCham’s new Events Manager. A long-time contributor to Cambodia’s media and business scene, Starkey has joined the Chamber with a clear goal to energize BritCham’s events program.

“BritCham’s Wimbledon Family Day isn’t just another Sunday activity. It’s a celebration of community, connection, and British culture,” said Starkey. “We’ve built an event that is both elegant and inclusive. Whether you’re coming for the tennis, the meal, or to let the kids enjoy themselves, there is something for everyone.”

A Family-Friendly British Affair

Taking place across the rooftop and indoor spaces at Sun & Moon Riverside, the day will feature a two-course British meal, a glass of Pimm’s, classic lawn games, a cake competition, and a luxury British car showcase presented by Lotus Cars EMC Group, the event’s Platinum Sponsor.

Children will have their own dedicated area with pool access, games, face painting, and professional entertainers throughout the afternoon. The event has been carefully designed to be a memorable and enjoyable day for both families and professionals.

The event will also be captured by professional photographers from MaSet Group, who will be providing photography throughout the day.

A Growing Team Reflects Growing Ambitions

Wimbledon Family Day arrives at an exciting time for BritCham, which has recently expanded its team to support its growing membership and programming.

Earlier this month, Serei Setha Ly, a first-year Computer Science and Law student at De Montfort University (DMU) Cambodia, joined BritCham as its first-ever intern. Over the next two months, Setha will assist with digital development across IT systems, social media, and membership services. His role reflects BritCham’s focus on integrating new talent and improving digital capacity.

Her role is dedicated to enhancing the experience of BritCham members and improving engagement across all levels.

Investing in Community, Connection, and Culture

As one of the most active international chambers in Cambodia, BritCham continues to play a leading role in promoting UK-Cambodia business relations, professional development, and cultural exchange.

Wimbledon Family Day represents an exciting step forward for the Chamber’s event strategy. It offers something for everyone, from relaxed networking to family fun, and serves as a showcase of BritCham’s renewed direction and energy.
